I this the photographer that took the picture did a good job of following the suggestions the painter left. I like the Nighthawks by Edward Hopper and would like to capture a picture like that, of a quiet moment.
I found this picture in the Photojournalist of the Year category and it caught my eye because of the position of the book and how it matched up with the kids face.
I've never seen these kinds of pictures ever. I wish I knew how they were made. But if i knew i would take picture of the UT tower and see how that would look. The tower is kinda downtown and its open all day errday.

This Picture caught my eye because of the great view the photographer got. It is amazing how much he got into the photo, from the lightning to the ashes of the volcano. The photo is simply amazing and think it deserved first place.

This photo was taking by Aaron Thompson and published by daily News Journal. I think this made it in the top 40 photos ever because of the strong emotions it captured and i bet a lot of people it relates to. It amazed me how this kid, even though he is 8, he is trying to be strong and not cry.
This photo was taken by Vanderlei Almeida in 2011 after the landslides in Rio de Janiero. This photograph really got my attention because of how the dog stayed by his owner's grave for two consecutive days.
These sisters pose for the same photograph separate times, years apart. i liked this photo because of the how all three pictures they took show up on the same one (left).

Eugene Atget
Eugene Atget was a French photographer. Born in Libourne in 1857 and died in august 1927 in Paris. He gained a wide attention after is death of his photographs of the architecture and the streets of Paris.
I did not like the first picture (one on top) because i didn't get the right angle to catch any emotion. the second picture (one on the bottom) is my best because i captured how she was was feeling at that moment.
